ANTIGONE

PRESS: It is not “Antigone” by Sophocles, but the anti-war-drama by Walter Hasenclever (1890-1940), written 1917 under the impression of World War I. In the adaptation from Kristóf Szabó it became a fascinating multi-media-performance, presenting a spectacle including dance, music, projections (Ivó Kovács), figurines (Bärbel Nolden), fantastic costumes (K. Szabó and Emese Kasza) that offers plenty of sights worth seeing.

spectator Matthias Franz Haubner on facebook:

“An awesome staging referring to figurines, as they existed 100 years ago, with strong characters on stage. Many thanks for this high-quality and amusing mixed-media theatre experience.”
